An American View of law, Liberty and government
The American View's U.S. Constitution Course is a 12-week homeschool curriculum that takes students on a journey through America's founding principles, constitutional structure, and system of government. Through structured lessons, guided readings, and supplemental assignments, students develop a deeper understanding of the ideas that shaped the United States.
For High Schoolers
Designed for homeschool high schoolers, this course explores the Founders' inspirations, the principles behind the Constitution, and the framework of American government. Students will gain more than a basic understanding of the Constitution—they'll develop a stronger appreciation for America's founding and the principles of liberty that shaped its government.

The Philosophical Worldview of the Constitution

1776-1789: From Independence to the Constitution
Stage I
Stage I introduces students to the ideas, beliefs, and historical events that shaped America's founding. Students explore the relationship between law, liberty, and government, examine the Founders' faith and worldview, and trace the nation's journey from independence in 1776 to the creation of the Constitution.

Stage II
Stage II takes students through the structure and text of the U.S. Constitution. Students examine the Preamble and the Constitution's seven Articles, explore the Bill of Rights and First Amendment, and study the remaining amendments to understand how the Constitution establishes and limits the powers of government while protecting individual rights.

Stage III
Stage III brings students from understanding the Constitution to examining its role in the American constitutional republic today. Students explore the challenges facing constitutional government and consider how Americans can understand, preserve, and restore the principles of the Constitution and the liberties it was designed to protect.
GOVERNMENT VS GOD
A 4 week study of truth, rights, and authority
This compact curriculum offers students in-depth guidance on specific topics that come up when government and God seem to collide.
Not only that, but Government vs God challenges students to think critically about law, authority, and liberty from a biblical and historical perspective.
What is included in the Government vs. God course?
1) Time Warp – A historical, biblical, and constitutional examination of the early charters, compacts, sermons, and founding documents of America.
2) The First Amendment and the Myth of Church and State – Focuses on the First Amendment and provides the true meaning of religious liberty, as well as clarifies the often misunderstood phrase “separation of church and state.”
3) Abortion and the role of the judicial branch – This session offers a look at the structure of the U.S. government and the limits of the judicial branch, as well as authority over life.
4) Socialism vs Christianity – Learn the fundamental differences between socialism, a constitutional republic, and Christianity.
Bonus: A Call to Christians – Get an educational overview of the historical and constitutional relationship between faith and civil government in America.
