How Did the Great Awakening Influence the American Revolution?
The Great Awakening’s impact on American independence: Setting the Stage for Revival and Revolution “I am verily persuaded,” George Whitefield wrote, “the Generality of Preachers talk of an unknown, unfelt Christ. And the Reason why Congregations have been so dead, is because dead Men preach to them.” No one could accuse George Whitefield of being a “dead preacher.” Not only did the man preach over 70,000 sermons in half a dozen countries over his lifetime, but he also travel

Critical: Sound Doctrine When Ministering to Public Servants
The legitimacy of the Christian faith rests on the finished work of Christ on our behalf. His conquest over sin is authenticated by His rising from the dead; therefore, the resurrection is the crux of Christianity. In contrast to other major religions of the world—all of which are works-based, soteriological systems—it follows that without the resurrection an individual remains in his or her sin, unacceptable to a holy, righteous God. This week I want to concentrate on this b

Why Believers Should Be Involved in Politics
The Bible teaches that believers are to impact the world around them with God’s precepts and for His glory. The ways in which this Christian influence happens vary, respective to the call God has placed on each believer. We are called to have an impact for God in our chosen field. While some churches teach that believers should be involved only in evangelism and abstain from a career in politics, that’s not what the Bible teaches. “You are the salt of the earth…” and “You

Do Artificial Intelligences Have Rights?
People have rights, but do computers? When you create something, you have the exclusive right over it for a period of time. These are called copyrights and patents. When is America’s judicial system like the child’s game of “telephone”? You’ve probably heard about the case Groff v. Dejoy, Postmaster General, but I doubt you’ve heard anything about just how bad the underlying jurisprudence is. When is a religious liberty win not as good as we’ve been told? When it’s based on a house of cards. Our judicial system today works like a bad case of the game “telephone”. You probably remember that game from grammar school. The teacher would whis

Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 One of the crowning achievements of Christianity in the discussion of its legacy and influence throughout history is undoubtedly its systematic opposition of slavery since its beginning roots. Schooled in Socialism
During my four-year term on the Anne Arundel County Council I voted against the adoption of the proposed county budget in each of those years. On each of these occasions the vote was 6 to 1 against me. I was severely criticized by the leftist, local press and by public school advocates for my refusal to support their relentless demands for more funding. In 2018, my final year on the Council, the public schools in my county devoured more than 2/3 of the $1.5 billion budget.

The Greatest Commandment of America
Author: Mike Sonneveldt It's done. It's over. You can take a deep breath, and now you can relax. Or, if weeping and gnashing your teeth is more your thing, then go for it. But, for the next year and a half or so, you can rest and keep your mind on other things than a mid-term election. I'm glad it's over. I've been waiting for this moment. I understand the importance of an election, and the absolute necessity of getting involved in the whole process, but it brings out the wor
