If you weren’t able to attend the Local Advocacy: God and Government from the Grassroots course earlier this year, now is your opportunity to join in for the follow-up course and meetings. We will continue the important work of this exciting course this summer. Classes will meet on the above dates and practicums will be held on other Monday evenings throughout the summer, where we will attend and make presentations at county council meetings.
This course will focus on local advocacy and provide hands-on experience with government activism. Instruction will highlight the Christian’s responsibility to authority as outlined 1 Peter 2:17 - “Honour all men. Love the Brotherhood. Fear of God. Honour the kings.”
Michael Anthony Peroutka, Pastor David Whitney, and other IOTC instructors will be leading classroom instruction and council chamber practicums. The course objectives include instructing citizens on best practices for holding government officials accountable to their oaths of office and providing mechanisms for citizens to coordinate with local officials on drafting and adopting legislation.
Do You Think Civil Government Is Out of Control? Do You Worry About Your Children and Grand-Children?
Let Us Rise Up and Build! (Nehemiah 2:18)
Dr. McDurmon provides practical applications on how to restore the proper role of Self, Family, and Church government TODAY! We do not have to wait another election cycle because SALVATION does not come from a political party and any election result will not RESTORE God-given liberty – It will take ALL of US to re-build the wall and return to a moral society obedient to God’s Law.

This course provides the correct understanding of the duty of the jury which is to judge the law and the facts in order to defend our Constitutional Republic. Many Americans have been taught that the jury serves a radically different purpose and this erroneous view is actually destructive to the very justice for which the role of the jury was established.

The Sheriff and Citizen Summit which was held on April 6, 2013 in Sussex County, Delaware was a great success. On behalf of the Institute on the Constitution, I want to extend a heart-felt thank you for your attendance and for your commitment to the IOTC which made this event so successful.
It was our desire to create and educate a body of citizens to understand The American View of Law and Government and its relationship to the U.S. Constitution in order that they are able, ready and willing to support the constitutional role of the sheriff. As we continue to expand our course offerings, please know that you and your individual efforts to support the the American View are vital to the success of the IOTC. We are so encouraged by the many people who registered for the Constitutional Training for Deputies, Posses, and Citizen Supporters of the Sheriff course in Delaware.
Thank you for the generous contributions for Sheriff Jeff Christopher and his legal fund. You and your support are truly appreciated.
The IOTC could not do what it does without the generous support of a God-fearing community of individuals. Thank you again for attending and supporting The Sheriff and Citizen Summit. We pray that you will continue in your studies and lead others to the significance of acknowledging God and His role in our civil government at all levels.
In Christ,

On April 6, 2013, Institute on the Constitution will host the Sheriff and Citizen Summit: “Defending Liberty by Supporting Your Constitutional Sheriff.” Come meet and hear from Sheriff Jeff Christopher of Sussex County, Delaware and Sheriff (Ret.) Richard Mack. Sheriff Mack is the author of several books and is known for standing up against and successfully suing the Clinton Administration over the Brady Bill.
The event will start at 8:30 am and will run until 5:00 pm. This exciting training will be held at: Delaware Technical & Community College – Georgetown Campus – 18800 Seashore Highway, Georgetown, Delaware 19947.
Pastor Whitney examines the Theological foundations for the right to keep and bear arms, and provides a constitutional understanding of the right to self defense. The 2nd Amendment, restrains the powers of state governments by placing specific requirements upon it. Provisions in Maryland’s Constitution on the State Militia provide ironclad evidence of not only the citizen’s right to keep and bear arms, but his duty to do so.
