Church & State Work Together to form a Moral government?: An Event with Ricki Pepin

On October 21, 2017, Pastor Johnathan Newman of Koinos Christian Fellowship in Troy, Ohio hosted our latest IOTC course – The Truth of America’s Founding – Your Heritage & Mine.  Ohio Institute on the Constitution (IOTC) Leader Ricki Pepin worked with an IOTC graduate, Jerry Davis, to make this one-day seminar a huge success.

We had to find a bigger room when attendance reached 43!  Several young people in attendance as well as a few local elected officials including Ohio U. S. Congressman Warren Davidson (photo below).  Representative Davidson was unable to stay for the entire event, however one of his aides, Ben Thaeler did.  When asked afterwards if he learned anything, Ben enthusiastically replied, “Are you kidding?  I took 20 pages of notes!” – Ricki Pepin

This seminar brought together church and government leaders, along with all ages of community members. Everyone in attendance learned that our founders intended for church and state to work together to form a moral government.  Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best – “The church must be reminded that it is…the conscience…guide and critic of the state…”

One of the individuals who was NOT able to make it to this seminar spoke with Ricki Pepin afterwards to inform her that he has spoken with the Mayor of Enon, Ohio who is very interested in hosting one of these seminars in the future.  What Pastor or elected official do you know to approach with this new IOTC tool?
