State-Of-Union Talk Shows State-Of-Bush Is That He Has No Idea True View Of American Law, Government

INSTEAD OF PARTIES to hear the President speak, as the Republican National Committee suggested, wakes should have been held to lament death of our ConstitutionINSTEAD OF PARTIES to hear the President speak, as the Republican National Committee suggested, wakes should have been held to lament death of our Constitution

Before President Bush’s State of the Union talk, the Republican National Committee suggested holding parties to hear this talk. But if you care about Biblical, Constitutional government, this address was nothing to celebrate. In fact, Mr. Bush’s State of the Union address revealed much more about his own state of mind and thinking rather than anything objectively true about our country. He said: “The only way to protect our people, the only way to secure the peace, the only way to control our destiny is by our leadership — so the United States of America will continue to lead.”

Comment: But “our leadership” is not “the only way” to achieve what the President mentions. This is secular, humanistic nonsense. God Almighty is in control of our destiny and the destiny of all nations.

Bush: “Abroad, our nation is committed to an historic, long-term goal — we seek the end of tyranny in our world. Some dismiss that goal as misguided idealism. In reality, the future security of America depends on it.”

Comment: Interesting that Mr. Bush mentions only tyranny “abroad.” He, of course, would be on thin ice if he mentioned tyranny here at home because he is a tyrant — the definition of which is one who exceeds his lawful authority, as he has done repeatedly by, among other things, advocating Federal programs that are un-Constitutional. As for ending tyranny in the world, well, once again, Mr. Bush is not the President of the world! And his messianic end-tyranny-in-the-world mindset is a prescription for perpetual war.

Bush: “Democracies replace resentment with hope, respect the rights of their citizens and their neighbors, and join the fight against terror. Every step toward freedom in the world makes our country safer — so we will act boldly in freedom’s cause…. In 1945, there were about two dozen lonely democracies in the world. Today, there are 122.”

Comment: “Democracies,” per se, do not, necessarily, do any of these things. Only someone whose religion is a belief in “democracy” could make such an absurd statement. And what, exactly, Mr. Bush means by “freedom” is anybody’s guess. He never tells us his definition.

Bush: “No one can deny the success of freedom, but some men rage and fight against it. And one of the main sources of reaction and opposition is radical Islam — the perversion by a few of a noble faith into an ideology of terror and death. Terrorists like bin Laden are serious about mass murder — and all of us must take their declared intentions seriously.”

Comment: Islam is not “a noble faith.” On our radio show Number 10, I interviewed Robert Spencer, editor of a new book titled “The Myth Of Islamic Tolerance: How Islamic Law Treats Non-Muslims” (Prometheus). He also writes the “Jihad Watch” column for the conservative Washington DC weekly “Human Events.” His Web site is Jihadwatch.org. On this program, Spencer told me in no uncertain terms that Osama bin Laden has done nothing that violates the Koran or is at odds with the basic doctrines of Islam.

Bush: “[The terrorists] have chosen the weapon of fear. When they murder children at a school in Beslan, or blow up commuters in London, or behead a bound captive, the terrorists hope these horrors will break our will, allowing the violent to inherit the Earth.”

OSAMA BIN LADEN has not ‘perverted’ Islam. He’s just obeying his holy bookOSAMA BIN LADEN has not ‘perverted’ Islam. He’s just obeying his holy book

Comment: We are not qualified to denounced child-murder. In America, since the murderous 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling, more than 43 million innocent children, in the womb, have been murdered by abortion. And Mr. Bush nominated two men to the Supreme Court who have no problem with this high court opinion.

Bush: “In a time of testing, we cannot find security by abandoning our commitments and retreating within our borders. If we were to leave these vicious attackers alone, they would not leave us alone. They would simply move the battlefield to our own shores. There is no peace in retreat. And there is no honor in retreat. By allowing radical Islam to work its will — by leaving an assaulted world to fend for itself — we would signal to all that we no longer believe in our own ideals, or even in our own courage. But our enemies and our friends can be certain: The United States will not retreat from the world, and we will never surrender to evil.”

Comment: By doing nothing to stop your typical abortion in America, Mr. Bush has already surrendered to evil! And though Iraq did not attack us, we still invaded that country and started a war there.

Bush: “America rejects the false comfort of isolationism…. we accept the call of history to deliver the oppressed and move this world toward peace.”

Comment: Once again, Mr. Bush is not the President of the world! And “history” — an abstraction meaning nothing really — calls nobody to do anything. As for the Boogie-Man “isolationism” word, there’s nothing wrong with “isolationism” if this means “isolating” America from foreign wars that are none of our business.

Bush: “Our work in Iraq is difficult because our enemy is brutal. But that brutality has not stopped the dramatic progress of a new democracy. In less than three years, the nation has gone from dictatorship to liberation, to sovereignty, to a constitution, to national elections”

Comment: No, our work in Iraq is difficult because this war is un-Biblical and un-Constitutional! As for Iraq’s constitution, it is a document that gives all legal power to Islamic law — a dubious achievement not worth the shedding of one drop of American blood.

Bush: “In recent years, you and I have taken unprecedented action to fight AIDS and malaria, expand the education of girls, and reward developing nations that are moving forward with economic and political reform. For people everywhere, the United States is a partner for a better life. Short-changing these efforts would increase the suffering and chaos of our world, undercut our long-term security, and dull the conscience of our country.”

Comment: No, what has been dulled is the President’s sworn obligation to uphold the U.S. Constitution. None of the programs he alludes to here are Constitutional. And, one more time, his job is not to give a better life to “people everywhere.” He is President only of the United States.

Bush: “American leaders — from Roosevelt to Truman to Kennedy to Reagan — rejected isolation and retreat, because they knew that America is always more secure when freedom is on the march.”

Comment: Ah, but when you go back to our Founding Fathers — true Americans who personified the real view of American law and government — they were for “isolating” us from foreign wars that were none of our business.

Bush: “Our economy is healthy and vigorous, and growing faster than other major industrialized nations.”

Comment: No way! Any economy based on debt — personal and governmental — as ours is, is not healthy.

IN AMERICA, more than 43 million children never got to school because they were murdered by abortionIN AMERICA, more than 43 million children never got to school because they were murdered by abortion

Bush: “Protectionists want to escape competition, pretending that we can keep our high standard of living while walling off our economy.”

Comment: More nonsense. “Protectionists” want to protect Americans and their jobs. But, of course, to care about this one has to be a real American not a New World Order, globalist, citizen of the world like Mr. Bush.

Bush: “We hear claims that immigrants are somehow bad for the economy — even though this economy could not function without them.”

Comment: Another falsehood. There are people who believe there should be a slow-down in legal immigration but what millions of Americans are correctly concerned about is illegal immigration.

Bush: “And our economy grows when Americans have more of their own money to spend, save, and invest….Keeping America competitive requires us to be good stewards of tax dollars.”

Comment: Mr. Bush has been, arguably, the worst steward of Federal tax dollars in the history of the American Presidency. He has given us the most debt-ridden, intrusive, un-Biblical, un-Constitutional Federal Government ever.

Bush: “So tonight, I ask you to join me in creating a commission to examine the full impact of baby boom retirements on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.”

Comment: Hey, now there’s a new idea, huh? — let’s appoint a committee to study what has already been studied to death. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are un-Constitutional. The President should have, long ago, presented a plan to phase these programs out since they are illegal.

Bush: “With open markets and a level playing field, no one can out-produce or out-compete the American worker.”

Comment: Except, of course, there is no such thing, in this context, as “a level playing field.” This is a phrase that is meaningless.

Bush: “Keeping America competitive requires an immigration system that upholds our laws, reflects our values, and serves the interests of our economy.”

Comment: Arghhhhhhhhhh! The President has made no real effort at all to enforce our immigration laws. In fact, his amnesty guest-worker program will increase the number of illegal immigrants in our country!

Bush: “Keeping America competitive requires affordable health care. Our government has a responsibility to provide health care for the poor and the elderly, and we are meeting that responsibility.”

YES, INDEED, most definitely, we needed to be 'isolated' from this un-Biblical, un-Constitutional war in IraqYES, INDEED, most definitely, we needed to be ‘isolated’ from this un-Biblical, un-Constitutional war in Iraq

Comment: Really? And where in our Constitution is this “responsibility” he alludes to? Don’t bother to look because you’ll find no such “responsibility.” It’s not there.

Bush: “Tonight I announce an American Competitiveness Initiative, to encourage innovation throughout our economy, and to give our nation’s children a firm grounding in math and science….we need to encourage children to take more math and science, and to make sure those courses are rigorous enough to compete with other nations. We’ve made a good start in the early grades with the No Child Left Behind Act, which is raising standards and lifting test scores across our country.”

Comment: The Constitution does not authorize any Federal involvement in education — none.

Bush: “In recent years, America has become a more hopeful nation….There are fewer abortions in America than at any point in the last three decades.”

Comment: If Presidential adherence to Biblical and Constitutional government is the standard, there is less reason to be hopeful about America. And if abortions have declined it’s not because of anything Mr. Bush has done because he has done nothing to stop your typical abortion in our country. In fact, he has named Supreme Court nominees who have either sworn to uphold Roe v. Wade (John Roberts) or already voted to abide by Roe v. Wade (Samuel Alito).

Bush: “As we look at these challenges, we must never give in to the belief that America is in decline, or that our culture is doomed to unravel. The American people know better than that. We have proven the pessimists wrong before — and we will do it again.”

Comment: The President’s support for thousands of un-Biblical, un-Constitutional programs is proof that we have already declined — declined from the type of government given us by our Founding Fathers! To say this is not “pessimism.” This is a fact!

BUSH FIRST to Federally-fund 'egregious abuse' of human embryo stem cell research! Now he denounces itBUSH FIRST to Federally-fund ‘egregious abuse’ of human embryo stem cell research! Now he denounces it

Bush: “A hopeful society has institutions of science and medicine that do not cut ethical corners, and that recognize the matchless value of every life. Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to prohibit the most egregious abuses of medical research:…creating or implanting embryos for experiments….”

Comment: If the President had been Pinocchio when he said this, his nose would have been the size of the Washington Monument! He is the first President to support the Federal funding of the “egregious abuse of medical research” known as embryonic stem cell research! And he does not value “every life.” He is for abortion exceptions.

Bush: “A hopeful society expects elected officials to uphold the public trust.”

Comment: He has failed miserably to do this by supporting un-Biblical, un-Constitutional Federal programs.

Bush: “Yet the destination of history is determined by human action, and every great movement of history comes to a point of choosing.”

Comment: No real Christian could ever make such a Godless statement. God Almighty determines the direction of history, not human beings!

Bush: “Lincoln could have accepted peace at the cost of disunity and continued slavery.”

Comment: Lincoln was a tyrant as is the President. He could have prevented the bloodiest, most murderous war in our history but he did not. And he did nothing to end slavery.

Bush (in conclusion): “May God bless America.”

Comment: No, I think God is not blessing America. I believe we are, deservedly, coming under His wrath and judgment. I believe this has just started and it will not be pretty. — J.L.
