I received this from a person I contacted by email. We had been discussing politics and religion. Here is what I extracted from that email. "i switched to Constitution, then I found it is run by mormones, domionists, and moonys controlled by the masons."

I questioned that person on how those opinions were arrived at. Here is what was said. That person had been invited to attend the Constitutional Party Conventions.

After attending the Constitutional Party convention and another meeting with Peroutka, the following conclusion was made per the email(slightly edited):------- " I heard sermon from Michael Hill, friend of Pereoutka, head of league of the south and main speaker at constitution party convention and he used the scriptures to prove that the blacks were not the elect and would never go to heaven. So I woke up and started looking at all these guys work and writings and yep they were dominionsts. Jon, it is a false gospel, they worship a false Jesus. they are lost and going to hell, but worse they want to use violence to bring in gods kingdom. This is the philosophy behind the KKK, nazis."

Anyone care to comment on this?

You are going to have to substantiate any such claims about Mike Hill's alleged comments about blacks being non-elect, and any of your other assertions. "Care to comment" is not a proper invitation to refute your friend's total and baseless hearsay assertions.

Specifiy. Provide, or require of your "friend" to provide near-exact quotes from speeches and the dates made, or parts from footnoted articles if you are going to allege such scandalous charges. Otherwise you are simply repeating false witness, and not welcome here.

NO ONE SHOULD COMMENT ABOUT THIS POST WITHOUT THE THREAD STARTER OFFERING SOME CONTEXT TO THE CHARGES.

I told you what I know. I can't add anything-----except the person was only an acquaintance, not a friend. I have some doubts about the person that sent the message to me, but I have been a supporter of the Constitution Party and sure would like to know more about it's makeup after hearing this. I had hoped any answers would have been more positive. This answer leaves me puzzled and a bit disappointed.

Is there possibly a transcript of everything said in the convention available?

I attended the convention and heard Michael Hill's speech. I don't recall anything remotely about blacks and/or election. I thought it was a great speech, but my recollection is that it was all about Iraq, foreign policy, and equating America's aggression against Iraq to the North's aggression against the Confederacy in the War Between the States.

It seems to me that Jon's initial post is confused (or his informant is confused) mixing up a bunch of separate issues - dominionism, mormonism, and racism. Did your informant happen to mention all the black faces at the convention that gave Dr. Hill a standing ovation?

In fairness to the anonymous acquaintence, he wasn't claiming Dr. Hill made those statements at the convention. A transcript and the audio of his speech can be obtained here (http://www.peroutka2004.com/schedule/index.php?action=eventview&event_id=314). Additoinally, we made a Southerners for Peroutka DVD which featured the speech, one from Franklin Sanders and a conversation between the two. I have a few left for $15 each.

I am aware of no such proof of the "negro" being incapabable of salvation, and am unaware of Dr. Hill making that assertion. It has yet to be proven. If I cannot be proven, let's stop talking about it.

Jon:

I'm sorry for the lack of clarity. I am aware of no Moonies and no Racists in the Party. I am, however, keenly aware of the many Dominionists, which I am, who believe that the Earth is the Lord's, and all authority has been given unto Him, so we must Kiss the Son, lest he consume us in His wrath.
