Today still, the link to subscribe to your Podcasts (brilliant idea!) leaves my iTunes giving an error "cannot connect to Music Store." I want to recommend your website to a couple hundred friends, but am awaiting successful workings.

One thing you apparently cannot do is open the .xml file from within iTunes (like Open URL). Can you give me the page that seems to not functioning? I have no problems on Windows XP or OS X, but a broken link is a broken link....
This is the correct, and only link, that works with iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=75512877
It works for us - can you confirm that you are using this link or the xml file directly? If you're getting a connection to the store error, I wonder if you can go to the Music Store at all? Can you open iTunes for me and see if you can browse anything in the store?
Perhaps you have to have a free iTunes account to browse?

Here's the problem I'm having:
My subscription is working fine, except I have not been able to download the Newt Gingrich episode at any time. In addition, the latest episode only appeared in my list tonight. When I clicked "Get," I got the same message as the Newt one.
The message is as follows: "There was a problem downloading 'Part 3, Continued Discussion on Roberts Nomination.' The URL 'http://yadda yadda yadda' could not be found on the server."
I'm running iTunes 4.9 on Jaguar, if that helps.

Yes, that link was incorrect for a while. I corrected it a few days back. Be sure and hit the UPDATE button (top right if iTunes window) to reload the xml file.

I am having the same problem with the new "Robert Duckworth" episode. I guess the link is wrong?

For Duckworth, yes. That's fixed. I don't know why Newt doesn't work for you...he's there for me. I verified the url...can you hit update?

It's working now, thanks. I had been hitting Update over the past couple days to no avail, but today it finally worked. :)

I thought I would add that you do not need an account with iTunes to browse or subscribe to any podcast. You DO need an account to host a podcast but that is all.

Is there some reason the 101st show is not showing up in the xml feed? Thus iTunes does not show show the 101st show in the podcast. I tried opening the xml feed in my browser, and the 101st show does not appear there either. Could it be that there is a 100 item limit in the system? Or is something else causing the trouble?

Yeah. There's usually only one, and that's that I haven't updated it yet. The General is a cool automated posting mechanism that we access through our CMS, but the podcast doesn't have that luxury yet - however, it could be in the works...
But it's updated now...

Just as a curiosity, what is the UI to the CMS?
Is there an desktop app or web based etc?
