Forum folk,
I think I should explain my slowness of acting with Roger Wray. As most of you, after his second post (http://www.theamericanview.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3666&postcount=5), I knew he was here to cause trouble. Our web-guy, the surreptitious Chatterbox, remembered his name from an alleged "spamming" incident months prior. So I was slow to act with the hope that he would move out on his own sooner, rather than later.
When people like him come in to our (not mine, Jeff's and John's, but yours and mine) forum, I want them to make the best case for their exit so that they do not feel that they've been thrown out on a "high note." Wray quickly got to the bottom of his base of knowledge and willingly exiled himself after just a few days. I prefer to see the small-minded trouble-makers frustrate themselves because then they never come back. If we ban them, they can come back at the end of the ban.
Others who have been, or might be, banned are usually of the more intelligent sort, but evince a lack of cooperativeness with our (again, yours and my) forum. This forum was set up to discuss the American View. We claim there is one, and it is rooted in Orthodox Christianity. All who so agree are welcome to consider this forum their own, and even to have differing conclusions on certain matters. But for those who disagree, or contest that we are the American View, you are welcome to participate, but this forum will never be yours, and you are apt to not feel too welcome either.
