Dear Forum,

I am sick of these religous debates which occur frequently on the party forums! I consider myself a good member of the party and I saw this as a truly Godly Party that fit exactly with my church's beliefs on many fronts. I am 100% pro life, gun, and Republic. I voted for Peroutka and Baldwin out of principles and devotion to God, kingdom, and truth, but what is my reward? The Latter Day Saints get unfairly maligned and their beliefs are discredited by people who don't even consider the Book Of Mormon of any worth to the party or platform. I respect Micheal Peroutka for his Reformed doctrine and other God fearing people, but why does'nt the party say anything that is supportive of the LDS people inside the party? I love the show and may I suggest that the producers at least consider the possibillity of a member of the Church like Cody Quirk or Steve Montgomery appear on the show to support you guys in The American View? With respect and regards,

Alex Fotu,
LDS Christian CP Member

P.S. Anyone may respond, but do be at least civil to me, as I do agree with a lot of you "Fundamentalist" Christians.

Hey Alex,

You wrote, "The Latter Day Saints get unfairly maligned and their beliefs are discredited by people who don't even consider the Book Of Mormon of any worth to the party or platform."

I don't care what church you attend. It's none of my concern. I would have had no idea that you were Mormon until you just now brought it up.

Church membership is totally irrelevant to party membership and nobody that I know is making any inquiry as to where you choose to worship or the manner in which you perform such worship.

My only concern is whether you support biblical principles and constitutional governance, which are the Twin Goals of the Constitution Party. If so, then we can work together.

You wrote, "I am sick of these religous debates which occur frequently on the party forums!"

It seems to me that you created this thread to begin a religious debate. What's even more troubling is that your chosen screen name, "LDS Patriot", advertises which church you belong to right off the bat. You want your entire public persona to be wrapped up with your church affiliation. You want everybody to know right up front that you are Mormon. BUT IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS WHICH CHURCH YOU BELONG TO. If you don't believe that church membership should be relevant to the Constitution Party, then why do you feel the need to bring it up?

As for the Book of Mormon, you are correct. I cannot speak for anybody else, but I absolutely do not consider the Book of Mormon to be of any worth to the party or platform. Sorry. Our nation was in no way founded upon the principles of Mormonism, and neither was our party.

If you wish to worship with the Book of Mormon, feel free to do so. None of us have any say as to how, when or where you worship. That's the beauty of religious liberty which I wholeheartedly support. All I ask of you is that you please don't try to force the rest of us to consider the Book of Mormon to be of any worth whatsoever to the party or platform.

Thanks so much,

I agree with Reed. Alex writes:

What religious debates? What party forums? There aren't any that I know of, other than this one that Alex just started to pick a fight that nobody else is interested in.

This is a fully detached distraction, thus it is closed.
