View Full Version : Would Like to Help

I'm thrilled to find there's an authentic Christian party, and I'm rather miffed that this has been hidden from me until just recently (I found this site by way of an Agape Press article). Tired of the supposedly conservative Republicans continually caving to liberalism, I had plans to boycott elections indefinitely, voting solely on propositions from now on (we just banned gay marriage here in Texas!). I would have voted for Peroutka instead of Bush had I known about you, and I plan to vote for your candidate in '08. That is unless, of course, you make a left turn on me in the mean time, but it doesn't sound like I'll have to worry about that.

Apologies for the long-windedness, now to the point...

I see where the Christian Coalition has been snubbing you, and I would like to see similar Christian organizations with information-disseminating capabilities get on board with the Constitution Party, and help get the word out. I was hoping you might have a list of such key organizations that could potentially be a big help to us, so I could contact them and encourage them to get on board.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but I think if Hillary gets in there it's pretty much going to be lights out for Christians. The downward spiral toward Communist-style dictatorship would hasten, and free speech--for us at least--will be a thing of the past, so we need a huge campaigning effort for '08.

I greatly appreciate what you're doing!

Welcome aboard Lee!

I don't think Michael was on the ballot in Texas because of the onerous ballot requirements, but be sure to contact

to see what you can do to help if you haven't already.

Weaning Christians from the two-party duopoly can be tough. I have had limited success with the Christian Coalition in my state. They did feature our gubernatorial candidate in their newsletter in 2002.

I don't have a list of Christian organizations for you. Perhaps someone else does. But John Lofton's sent out a suggestion a few weeks ago about radio shows to call into. I couldn't find it on the site, so I reproduce it below:

Greetings, Friends:

Hope all is well with you and yours. I had a thought as to how you might be able to help us become more widely known. And that thought is this, please: Call one or more of the following radio talk shows listed below (even if they are not in your area) and say something like: (1) "Hi, I just wanted to call to tell you about a new truly Christian, truly conservative Web site: TheAmericanView.com, that's TheAmericanView.com and be sure, please, to include the letters t-h-e at the beginning of this Web address, TheAmericanView.com. Thank you very much." That's a general statement you can make on most any day regardless of the topic.

But, before you call to try and get on the air, you should call and find out what hours (your time) these programs are broadcasting; then call during those hours. You might also want to ask if they have "open phone" times – no specific subject – when your general call might get in.

Finally, if you are where you get one or more of these talk shows, and you want to listen to them live while they are on the air, check out our Web page and see if the program you're listening to is discussing any topic on our Web page. If so, your call can be more specific; you can call on whatever topic is being discussed and tell the program you're calling what our matching Web page story says. Then, please, end your brief comments by telling listeners how to get to our Web page: "That's TheAmericanView.com, TheAmericanView.com and be sure, please, to include the letters t-h-e at the beginning of this Web address, TheAmericanView.com. Thank you very much."

OK. Here's a list of programs. Happy dialing! And do let me know if you get on a show. God bless you all. John Lofton (JLof@aol.com) , Recovering Republican; Editor, TheAmericanView.com; Co-Host, "The American View" radio program.
