Dear Mr. Peroutka,
I am writing to make a very huge request. The leadership here at the Constitution Party of NC realize that you are a very busy man, and have done much for the Constitution Party.
We are on the eve of our annual state convention, and we are in desperate need to bring solid and high profile leaders of the Constitution Party to this convention; to generate excitement, and motivate the membership to push forward in our struggle for gaining recognition in our state. The convention will be November 19, 2005, 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, Knights Of Columbus Hall, Raleigh, NC.
We would be in your debt and extremely honored if you would please consider making an appearance at our state convention and speaking on “The American View”. I have seen your video from South Dakota, and each time I am refreshed in what I know I need to do to help this country.
We are a cash poor state party at this time, and I hope to introduce some new strategies to attract new members, develop new fundraising projects, and grow our party stronger and better for 2006. Because of this cash deficiency, we really don’t have the funds to pay for your way or a fee. We may be able to take up a collection to pay for your gas and perhaps hotel stay, if we knew for sure you could make the trip.
I know this is a lot to ask, but we really need a booster shot in the arm to kick start our 2006 efforts, which include getting NCHB 88 (Electoral Fairness Act) passed – reducing needed signatures for ballot access by 30%, pushing for more volunteers and members to get out and do signature drives in major metro areas to gain ballot access – or at the very least – write-in status for 2006, and of course, establish regional and county leadership across the state.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Respectfully,
