View Full Version : What Makes You An American?

I hope you agree that we need to recapture what it means to be an American and that we must begin again to think and act like Americans. We need to understand the American View, recognize it when we see it (and hear it), and support and vote only for those who understand it and have demonstrated the willingness to apply it and to live it. Watch two videos from "The American View."

I wonder if what makes you an American Republican Senator is the ability to weep on command. I just finished a nasty letter to my Senator (Voinovich) for crying at the Bolton nomination and now Senator Coburn is crying at the Roberts hearing. Certainly the American people have reason to cry over the U.S. having anything to do with the UN, and over "pro-life" nominee Roberts who the old boys club is pushing right on through with only mild histrionics from Schumer, Kennedy, Boxer, et al. As pathetic as these internationalists are just in their own existance it only gets worse as they now seen to think that a grown man crying on the floor of the Senate is some kind of honorable action.
I wish I were there to laugh at that jerk while he wept. Though I probably would have been puking.

As I was sitting at a traffic light the other day. A pickup in front of me had one of those obnoxious stickers of a mean faced little boy taking a whiz on the logo of a competitor’s vehicle. It occurred to me that somebody should take that sticker and paste a Jib-Jab style picture of Bush on the kid’s face and replace the car logo with a silhouette of the United States.
Why is it so hard for people to understand that he is the exact opposite of everything he claims to be?

I LOVED the speech given by Michael Peroutka, "What Makes You an American?" at http://www.theamericanview.com/index.php?id=388
-both speeches are worth listening to. You can click on the picture at the top for the dinosaur speech. The pic at the bottom has the "What Makes You an American?" speech.
I'm embarrassed to say that I would really not have been able to answer this question adequately before hearing this speech. But Mr. Peroutka does such a good job that I can now. But just to be sure, I think I'll go watch and listen again.
Mr. Peroutka is not only a gifted speaker, but a gifted teacher, which makes me glad I voted for him in 2004.
I wonder how many democrats and republicans who voted the party line actually have peace and today feel glad about who they voted for.

In reply to LAmama:
I am most grateful for your kind words. Thanks for listening and for thinking about what I offered in my remarks at the South Dakota Constitution Party conference.
As I have said before, I think many people labor under a false presupposition that Mr. Bush and other powerful leaders in our country, both Dems and Repubs, are Americans -- that they have an allegiance to America. It's only when you "turn the prism" and see that they are deeply committed to something else -- something not only UN-American, but actually ANTI-American -- that your start to make connections between their actions and statements that makes sense.
In short, they don't believe in or care about the America you and I do and therefore they are not only NOT committed to protecting it but are dedicated to its destruction and transformation into a subset of the New World Order.
I know this is hard to accept and to face.
There are many that want to marginalize me for declaring these observations and conclusions as there are many who thank me, as you have, for speaking out.
More and more folks, like yourself are making these connections. I have received thousands of emails and letters and calls (more than I can answer -- Sorry!) from people who are seeing the light and I praise God for this blessing.
But not everyone is pleased.
That's OK.
I am willing to listen to the views of others and to correct my statements and conclusions if I am convicted that I have made a mistake. I humbly reserve the right to be wrong.
Proverbs says that "Iron sharperns iron". Sometimes this produced sparks and even fires! I am grateful for the opportunity to discuss these things with you.
Deo Vindice,

P.S. to LAmama:
I forgot to include that just this past Friday, September 16, 2005, I addressed the Consitution Party National Committee in Columbus, Ohio, making some remarks that extrapolated on the ideas in South Dakota.
I hope that it will be on the website within a few days -- in video format. Please be sure to take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks again,
Michael

I’m curious, just how far does one carry this line of reasoning about the Federal government? If President Bush is truly un-American, as you say and I agree, then it stands to reason that the core of the political muscle that put him in office is of the same mind. Likewise, he appoints people to key government positions who are of the same mind.
So, in the wake of an event like Katrina, what do you say when a Bush appointee in charge of the situation becomes a serious obstacle to those who are actually doing all they can to save lives and restore order?
Has control of New Orleans in fact been taken over by an enemy force? Are we being invaded?
Have hurricanes become the weapon of choice to create chaos and disorder so they can come in and establish their own kind of order? Can they cause earthquakes as well?
Why would they allow 60 year old nuclear technology fall into the hands of so many smaller states if they didn’t have something far greater?
I know this sounds absurd, but what do the facts really say?
How far do you go with this understanding about Bush and government? Are they planning to destroy the real America?
when?
how?

Endangered, the Lord is the only one who can control the weather, don't ya think, at least until the anti-christ is ruling in the flesh? What we should be concerned with is the way elected officials respond to or manage such disasters, right? What we should be concerned with is that the Federal government will attempt to reimburse "churches" for the help they gave. Isn't that not creepy? Is creepy not the definition of socialism?
Mr. Peroutka,
I am delighted to have received feedback from you, the man who was brave enough to run for the office of President of the United States *when* you did. One day a good man from the Constitution Party will be elected to that high office because of what you did then and what you're doing now. I'm so relieved now that the Lord gave me the courage and has helped me see that I did the right thing in voting for you this past election. I'm excited about voting for another Constitution Party candidate in 2008 wonder who it will be and have specific ideas about who it should be.

Yes. It is hard to face, particularly when they say and do a lot of the "right" things, things that lead many Americans to believe that they sincerely love the Lord and that they are patriotic. Surely it's not due to fantastic acting ability. Do you think they are fulfilling II Tim 3:13 http://bible.cc/2_timothy/3-13.htm?
About your most recent speech, Mr. Peroutka, I would like to view and listen to it. I checked http://www.theamericanview.com/ as well as http://www.constitutionparty.com/ and haven't yet located it.
Thank you again for writing. Please keep up all of the good work for America as unto the Lord.

No I don’t think the LORD is the only one who can control weather.
There is very substantial evidence in the Bible that angels, good and bad, are able to control winds. Revelation 7:1; Mark 4:37-41 (The contextual evidence is that this storm was not a natural occurrence.)
Our God is great and greatly to be praised and is always in complete control of everything that happens, but in His sovereignty, He has given authority to His creatures over many things. Only God can make a tree, but it is now in the power of men to manipulate the genetic material to give the tree characteristics that are not natural to the way God made it. Everyday, men are encroaching further into areas that they should not be tampering with.
You see on television that the physical laws that cause storms are well understood. Warmer water, stronger winds etc. Certain types of radiation heat water. Antennas can direct radiation. There is no great leap of technology required in doing that.
Television tells us they have been driving little cars around on Mars for about a year. They send back pictures of the rings of Saturn from nearly a billion miles away and have even intercepted a comet. It is not big leap of faith to believe that they could strengthen and direct storms. You just have look where the television is not pointing.
People tend to ignore and underestimate the influence of secret societies. Skull and Bones is only one of dozens that have had huge effects on our modern word. (Try an Internet search on “Prescott Bush and Hitler".) Mr. Peroutka speaks of Bush being committed to things un-American. His allegiance to this secret society is certainly one of them. Even societies that are not so secret, like the Council on Foreign Relations are hardly noticed at all yet they are totally against the Constitution and America. Every candidate that has run for president from both major parties for the last 50 or 60 years has been a CFR member. There are secret societies for lawyers and scientists as well.
I recommend reading Francis Bacon’s essay, “The New Atlantis”. At least the last 5 or 6 pages. (http://www.constitution.org/bacon/new_atlantis.htm) It gives a rather interesting look into the mind of a secret society. It is short. He didn’t even finish it.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Question: How many people living in Jerusalem at the time of our Lord’s death actually wanted to kill him? It was probably not more than a dozen and they were a secret society that had their own world view and plan for the world which He was a threat too. John 11:48
I have no doubt that someone does have a hurricane machine in their basement or backyard and that it can do more than cause hurricanes. The Russians might have an even bigger one.
Jesus said, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” I think it is very likely that the Lord used the weapons of evil men to bring about the flood, at least in part, and then He added His part to what they were already doing.
Revelation 11:18 says that God will “destroy them which destroy the earth”.
