I have a question.

From what I've read, the show is recorded on Saturday and aired the next day. How then do interested callers know when to call, what's being discussed, and hear the discussion as the show progresses?

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't recall seeing answers to these questions.

I've wondered this too. In several of the shows I've heard, there's been a announced request for callers to weigh in. I've yet to hear an actual caller aired though. Considering the pre-taping (as I've been led to believe), how could callers interact with the hosts during the show?

Wanting to hear from and putting your voice on the air really are two distinct things. We do take calls - most are recorded on the answering machine, and we do listen. It's possible to air them via a recording, but usually the hosts just seamlessly fold them into the show.

The show is taped during the week and aired on Sunday. It is currently not possible for a live call in that isn't recorded during taping.

But if you're reading this, you have a (I think more) direct input, actually - this forum, and particularly the Article Discussions (http://www.theamericanview.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15) referring directly to a particular show.

True. In show #17 it is clear that the intent of calling is to leave comments. However in listening to some of the earlier shows (I'm listening to #6 for example) it isn't entirely clear whether you're being asked to contact the hosts to give comments during the show or for off-the-air review. The response on this thread from other listeners confirms this.

Understood. However, a number of shows that I can think of (Hank Haanegraf's "Bible Answer Man" radio show is a prime example) utilize live call in during production for taped airing. All one has to do is publicize in advance the topic and the calls will come rolling in. Under this production scenario, callers on hold hear the discussion taking place before they are brought on air. Having done radio in the past, I understand that this kind of effort has a cost with regard to equipment, staff to take the incoming calls, etc.

If the hosts wish to keep the current format, that's OK. But looking at the rise of Chuck Baldwin as a commentator one must admit that when his call-in show went from local to nationwide via Internet broadcasting his listener base grew exponentially. I believe that if introduce call-in your listener base will grow more rapidly.
