A fixed-width forum is now the trend;
with a mod'ed masthead to boot;
This old page no more will bend;
I hope, for you, it's a hoot.
Seven-sixty is the new rule;
So come git yer 40 pixels and mule...

For the "Hate it"s, those w/ displays that are 800x600 make up a "mere" 18% of the populace. I'm all for making the fixed width a bit larger...I do want to stay away from variable width for now, as I hope to do with TAV's main site soon. The next step up is the dimension that will fit within 1024...

Right now I am on 1024 but I like one that fits on 800x600 so that I can have two windows open on my 16x12 screen.
Fiixed widths seem to work a lot better with Safari and all Mac browsers since zoom is content sensitive.
I suppose with Maximize in Windows it doesn't matter much.

Looks like all of the "will adapt to it" have already just "adapted to it"
