Happy Birthday, Tim

Posted on January 24, 2012 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

This week my youngest child, my son Timothy Michael Peroutka, celebrates his 21st birthday. My mind and my heart flood with wonderful memories of his birth and his childhood. Tim was a great athlete and a bright, curious and engaging young child.

But with my youngest child now fully an adult, I can’t help but want to make some apology to Tim and to his generation of young Americans, for the disgraceful government, economy and culture we are turning over to them. It seems we’ve squandered our birthright, and theirs. We’ve been complacent and cowardly and we’ve been corrupted.

Building on the Foundations

Posted on January 17, 2012 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

It is now my great privilege to announce that we have completed our new course on the U.S. Constitution. This new course is titled Building on the Foundations: Restoring The American View of the U.S. Constitution. This course of study is an excellent tool which explains not only the words and phrases of the United States Constitution, but also the philosophical and religious worldview intended by the Framers. For this reason, we have made this course into a kit available to you.

The course includes video presentations by Co-Founder of the Institute on the Constitution and former Constitution Party Presidential Candidate Michael Anthony Peroutka and by our Senior Instructor Pastor David Whitney. The kit contains 12 DVD lectures; a Student Manual; a Host Manual; The Law by Frederic Bastiat; The Evolution and Destruction of the Original Electoral College by Gary and Carolyn Alder; Interposition (DVD) by Michael Anthony Peroutka; Up Against the Wall – The Four Jurisdictions (DVD) by Michael Anthony Peroutka; Federal Land Grab (DVD) by Pastor David Whitney; Should A Church Be Incorporated and a Nonprofit 501C3 Organization (DVD) by Pastor David Whitney; The First Amendment – Its Original Text and Meaning…Which Have Not Changed (DVD) by Herb Titus; and Multiplying the Message (DVD) by Ricki Pepin and a panel discussion with Ricki Pepin, Derek J. Howell, Esq., and Claude Dunn.

This complete course is suitable for personal study and for use in both small and large study groups. It is ideal for use by home schools and home school cooperative organizations. Everything you need to host the course is provided in this kit, which sells for $149ºº. The good news is you do not have to teach or even have any special knowledge of the U.S. Constitution or America’s history. Michael Anthony Peroutka does that work for you in the twelve DVD lectures. You simply need to supply the location, TV, DVD player and walk your group through the questions following each lecture. We provide the answers and supplemental materials. We’ve designed this host kit so that anyone, anywhere, with any group, can effectively lead in an understanding our Constitutional Republic.

You can order the Course Kit for $149ºº HERE. You may also order by calling us at 866-730-9796.

Developing and producing these materials for your benefit and for your children’s benefit has been a great privilege for us. We are thankful to God for His provision and for this vision He has given us to “plow our row” in His field. We hope you will join us, and on behalf of the Institute on the Constitution I want to thank you for your efforts to restore the American Republic.

Blessings,

Michael Anthony Peroutka

Roe v. Wade – Are We Marching In The Wrong Place?

Posted on January 17, 2012 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

Many thousands of very well-intended people will be marching in Washington this week to protest the 39th anniversary of the ruling of the Supreme Court known as Roe v. Wade. While I respect them immensely, I believe they may be marching in the wrong place.

It is generally taught and generally thought that this 1973 ruling made abortion “legal” in America. This is NOT TRUE. Let me repeat this. Abortion was not legalized by this or by any other decision of the Supreme Court or of any court. Abortion was murder prior to the case of Roe v. Wade and abortion is murder still.

Let me give you two simple reasons why this is so: Read More →

Surreality of Republican Goals

Posted on January 17, 2012 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

As you watch the presidential candidates debate and listen to the talking heads talk, are you struck by the surreal nature of it all?

For the Republicans this garish show seems to revolve around the sole question of replacing Obama. For example, after only two primaries had been conducted, all but one of the anchors on the Fox News Network were suggesting that Republicans now need to coalesce around Mitt Romney because he is the only one with the organization and the money to beat Obama.

And, to them, the one and only important thing is to beat Obama.

Sheriff Brad Rogers

A Constitutional Profile In Courage: Sheriff Brad Rogers Of Elkhart County, Indiana

Posted on January 13, 2012 by The American View

By John Lofton

Sheriff Brad Rogers recently warned the U.S. Justice Department that any further attempts to inspect a farm within his jurisdiction — without a search warrant signed by a judge, and based on probable cause that a crime had been committed — would result in the arrest, for trespassing, of Federal inspectors or their removal from the area of the farm in question.

Sheriff Rogers said regarding the assertion that Federal law trumps state law: “That is a distortion of the intent, content and extent of the supreme law of the land — the U.S. Constitution — seen through a myopic and misunderstood view of Article VI, section 2 (The Supremacy Clause).” He added:

“The Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act could be deemed unconstitutional if and when challenged vis-a-vis the Tenth Amendment juxtaposed with The Commerce Clause. Our form of government was based on the principle that all officials exist to secure ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.’…Such ‘cosmetic’ regulations will never ‘trump’ those principles. The citizen in question is a good man and has committed no crime. He is an upstanding member of this community. He does not have to allow access to his property for the FDA to conduct random inspections.”

Every culture, every person has them. What are your foundations?

  • What is this American View?

Briefly stated, "The American View" of government is that there is a God, the God of the Bible, our rights come from Him, and the purpose of civil government is to secure our rights.

There are many views of government, from equally numerous world views. Americans are blessed that our Founders' Biblical Worldview informed their political philosophy and the framing of our founding documents.
