The most Important thing I can do – an Essay from Ohio IOTC Graduate

Posted on December 19, 2011 by Pastor David Whitney

The most important thing I can do as a result of this course is use the knowledge actively. By this I mean the following:

  1. Communicate with federal and state legislators when they violate the Constitution.
  2. Communicate with them when an unconstitutional bill is before them
  3. Point out to executive and judicial officials unconstitutional acts committed
  4. Inform friends, relatives and acquaintances of the Constitution’s content
  5. Request my ministers to teach Christians’ Civil Duties
  6. Use my knowledge to help my Liberty Group

To do all of this constantly would be a full time job. So, I will do as much as possible when I see issues that are critical. As opportunities present themselves, I will inform people of the constitutuionality of that issue.

A Government of Justice and Righteousness

Posted on December 19, 2011 by The American View

“The Lord Jesus Christ, The Ultimate, True ‘Libertarian’: How His Coming Is The Most Important ‘Political’ Event In History” was the title of our December First Friday event. John Lofton, Director of Communications for IOTC, contrasted the death-loving, Godless, ancient Greco-Roman world with the life-giving coming of the Christ and Christianity. He spoke of the fight for liberty led by Christians in England and America. He emphasized that a Godless, anti-Christian politics will not save us.

A DVD of John’s presentation is currently available FREE for a limited time. Click here to order.

Please Note: If you attended the December event, you may have received a gift from IOTC which included some discount coupons. The offers are valuable, so we hope you’ll make use of them before the expiration date of January 31, 2012. And don’t forget to give one to a friend! You may notice that we listed January 2011 where we should have said January 2012, but fear not! The expiration date has not yet arrived!

The Political Significance of Christmas

January “First Friday”: Michael Anthony Peroutka Warns Of The Danger Of “Funny Money” And The Federal Reserve System

Posted on December 18, 2011 by The American View

MICHAEL ANTHONY PEROUTKA

To one of our biggest audiences ever, Michael Anthony Peroutka, in his January 2012 “First Friday” address, warned us about the danger of the Federal Reserve System and its “funny money” policies. He said that most Americans wrongly believe that the Fed is designed to foster a healthy American economy by stabilizing interest rates and preventing inflation. But, as easily-discoverable facts prove, the Fed is actually the instrument which creates inflation.

Among the points made by Michael in his talk were these:

The Political Significance of Christmas

Posted on December 18, 2011 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

In their effort to make a point, those who discuss law and government and politics for a living often miss the most critical – the most crucial point of all. So, as we celebrate Christmas, this is a good time to take a deep breath and revisit first principles.

We should remember the political significance of Christmas. Now don’t get distracted by arguments that early Christians latched onto a pre-existing pagan holiday to establish the date of Christmas. That may be true, but it is a distraction from what’s truly important. The important thing is the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

The birth of the Savior is the most significant political event in human history. This bears repeating. The birth of the Jesus Christ is the most significant political event in the history of the universe. Read More →

Our U.S. Constitution Course in our classroom will begin again in early Fall 2012. Registration will be available through this page. Check back often to learn of upcoming course dates.
Duration: 12 weeks, weekly at 7pm
Location: IOTC classroom, 8028 Ritchie Highway, Suite 315, Pasadena, MD 21122
     Usual Classroom Rates: Individual @ $99, Family* @ $150.
*Family rate includes 2 student manuals, but allows all immediate family members to attend the course.

Presenting the lectures, Michael Anthony Peroutka and Pastor David Whitney establish the premises for properly understanding the Constitution, by exposing students to the Biblical Worldview of America’s founders, and the writings that influenced them. Students will become familiar with “The American View of Law and Government”:

  • There is a God, the God of the Bible
  • Our rights come from Him
  • The purpose of civil government is to secure our God-given rights
Students will be led through the Articles, Sections and Clauses of the Constitution itself, and its 27 Amendments including the Bill of Rights. Gaining an understanding of the foundational principles and the founders’ worldview, students will see that a worldview revolution has occurred which has caused the Constitution to be widely misinterpreted and misunderstood in today’s world. The course concludes with a roadmap for restoration of our Constitutional Republic.

Course fee includes a student manual, containing course content and assignments, and supplementary materials.

The Jury Course

Posted on December 9, 2011 by The American View

The duty of the jury is to judge the law and the facts in order to defend our Constitutional Republic, yet Americans have been taught that the jury serves a radically different purpose. Most modern Americans believe that the jury’s duty is to follow the particular instructions of a judge and evaluate “justice” for a plaintiff or defendant in light of the manipulated presentation of evidence in the courtroom. This erroneous view is actually destructive to the very justice for which the role of the jury was established.

Options to take our course on “The Duty of the Jury”:
♦ In our Pasadena, Maryland classroom: Next class to begin in early Fall 2012 (See below)
♦ Buy “The Duty of the Jury” Course Host Kit HERE or call 866-730-9796

“The Duty of the Jury” Course in our classroom will begin again in early Fall 2012. Registration will be available through this page.
Check back often to learn of upcoming course dates.
Duration: 6 weeks, weekly at 7pm
Location: IOTC classroom, 8028 Ritchie Highway, Suite 315, Pasadena, MD 21122
Usual Classroom Rates: Individual @ $99, Family* @ $150
*Family rate includes 2 student manuals, but allows all immediate family members to attend the course.

“The Duty of the Jury” course of 6 lessons provides historical context for understanding the proper function of the jury and its power, and to encourage excellent civic participation in this important function. In addition to the lecture presentations, the course fee includes a Student Manual and supplementary materials.

The student will learn that the duty of a jury is to defend the Constitution. For that reason, we recommend taking the U.S. Constitution Course before, or coincident with, this course.

We also recommend that Maryland residents take our Maryland Constitution Course, so that jury duty can be undertaken with full knowledge of the power and responsibility of a juror in the state of Maryland.

  • What is this American View?

Briefly stated, "The American View" of government is that there is a God, the God of the Bible, our rights come from Him, and the purpose of civil government is to secure our rights.

There are many views of government, from equally numerous world views. Americans are blessed that our Founders' Biblical Worldview informed their political philosophy and the framing of our founding documents.
