UnConstitutional Military Orders

Posted on September 27, 2011 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

“A long habit of not thinking a thing to be wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right.” So wrote Thomas Paine in his famous work “Common Sense”, in 1774.

The same thing is true of something that is unconstitutional – that is – unlawful. A long habit of not rejecting it, leads us to wrongly consider it as acceptable.

For example, since Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution vests the authority to declare war in Congress, it is unlawful – illegal – for the president to send American troops abroad without such a declaration by Congress.

But no American president has followed the law since WWII and therefore, today, we tend to accept actions by Barak Obama (and others) that we shouldn’t accept since they are blatantly lawless.

Too Warm, Too Cool

Posted on September 23, 2011 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

Last week I had two house guests: One was a former classmate who now lives in Florida. The other was an old friend who now hails from New Hampshire. We talked of many things and at one point we talked about the weather in my home state of Maryland.

As you might have guessed, one of them said the weather was too cool and the other claimed to be uncomfortable by how warm it was.

When I looked at my thermometer it read 75 degrees Fahrenheit which is just right for me here in what we call the “Land of Pleasant Living”.

Gov. Rick Perry’s Rape-Incest-Life-Of-The-Mother Abortion Exceptions Mean Perry Is Not Pro-Life

Posted on September 20, 2011 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

Katherine Cesinger, State Press Director, RickPerry.org, Inc., says, re: Governor Perry’s position on abortion: “His position has been consistent on this. Gov. Perry is pro-life, with exceptions for rape, incest and life of the mother.”

In response, Michael Anthony Peroutka, co-founder with his brother Steve of “Institute On The Constitution” (TheAmericanView.com), has issued the following statement:

Does Your Head Hurt?

Posted on September 9, 2011 by Michael Anthony Peroutka

When you hear politicians propose programs that are clearly unconstitutional, does it hurt your head?

And as much as you may have an allegiance to one political party or another, have you finally come to the realization that both democrats and republicans promote agendas that are not only unconstitutional, but actually anti-American?

Cal’s Comments: No Offense To N.H. Or S.D., But Ohio State Mottto The Best: “With God All Things Are Possible”

Posted on September 7, 2011 by Cal Zastrow

By Cal Zastrow, September 1, 2011

“Live Free or Die” is a superb State Motto, as is “Under God, the People Rule.” I mean no offense to New Hampshire or South Dakota, but Ohio wins my contest for the best State Motto by quoting Scripture (Matthew 19:26).

Our family spent last week helping to launch the Ohio Personhood Amendment ballot-access petition drive and campaign. Dr. Patrick Johnston and Personhood Ohio www.personhoodohio.com are not content to regulate the murdering of preborn babies in hopes that it will someday go away. No. They recognize that all preborn babies are to be protected by love and by law. Here is the wording for their proposed Personhood Amendment to the State constitution:

Insert: Article 1, Section 1(b). Person defined:

The word “person” or “persons” applies to every human being at every stage of the biological development of that human being or human organism, including fertilization.

Now then, who can read English and not understand this? Child-killing in Ohio has never been “legal” because nobody can truly legalize what God forbids. Beloved pro-lifers in Buckeyeland should just recognize the humanity and personhood of all preborn children and protect them. Unlawful and incorrect court opinions like Roe v. Wade are to be ignored by the States while they uphold the law and protect innocent people.

While preparing the form and petition for Ohio, I was angered at their 1,600+ page “law” regulating petitioning and ballot-access issues. That statute is twice as long as the entire Holy Bible! After wading through that, we printed up a form and started petitioning.

Our family enjoys petitioning because there are so many opportunities to witness for Jesus and the humanity of preborn children. We daily get to educate people, especially the ones who claim to be Christians but support some or all choices to murder, especially in cases of “rape.” We tell them that innocent children should not be executed for the crimes of their fathers. We tell them about Rebecca Kiessling (www.rebeccakiessling.com) and Juda Myers (http://www.choices4life.org/) and how wonderful their lives are, even though their lives began after rape.

People tell us all kinds of things when we ask them if they are voters and will sign a petition for a pro-life amendment. Here are just three from last week:

“I’m with you. Our grandson is adopted.”

“My daughter has had two of them (abortions). It messed her up. She aint right in the head now.”

And my favorite: “Oh yes! Not only will I sign but I’ll pray for abortion to end.” This was from an elderly lady. She went on to tell me how God answered her prayers for the repentance and salvation of her brother. “He called me recently, very frightened, wanting to talk right away about God. He had just had an arm of fire come out of a wall and knock him down before hearing an audible voice, ‘You are going to hell if you do not change!’”

That’s one way our Heavenly Father answered prayer for somebody to come to know the fear of the Lord. Come on!

The babies won at the Friday night high school football game and the Saturday afternoon tractor pull. So many people were eager to sign our petitions!

We had the great honor of visiting and petitioning at New Beginnings Ministries (http://www.newbeginningsmin.com/) on Sunday morning in Warsaw, Ohio. Pastor Bill Dunfee has been a precious Christian brother to me for years. He understands the spiritual war between Christ and the devil, and his duty where he lives. There is is no abortuary in their town or county, but they drive hours to Columbus or Akron to minister on the streets in front of killing centers there. There is a hellish strip club in their county that they have been rebuking and evangelizing outside of for the last five years. Besides leading people to Christ, they’ve seen the business at the local strip joint greatly dwindle. Hell fights back with death threats, vandalism, and violence. The owner of the vile establishment pickets the church and hires his strippers to join him in harrassing families who show up at church on Sundays. Far from being intimidated, the believers and the pastor thank them for coming out to hear the Word of the Lord! Pastors and churches like this are why God will stop baby-murdering in Ohio, and I’m thrilled to serve alongside of them.

Briefly stated, "The American View" of government is that there is a God, the God of the Bible, our rights come from Him, and the purpose of civil government is to secure our rights.

There are many views of government, from equally numerous world views. Americans are blessed that our Founders' Biblical Worldview informed their political philosophy and the framing of our founding documents.
